Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the relationship between Wela Naga and anyone who engages our watch repair and restoration services. We ask that you read them carefully before leaving a timepiece in our care.

Section 01

Definitions

Throughout this document, the following terms carry the meanings described below.

"Wela Naga" / "We" / "Us" / "Our"
Wela Naga, a watch repair and restoration workshop located at 245 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand.
"Client" / "You" / "Your"
Any individual or entity that contacts Wela Naga, submits a timepiece for service, or engages with our website or premises.
"Services"
The watch repair, maintenance, and restoration work offered by Wela Naga, including but not limited to mechanical movement servicing, quartz care, and heritage restoration projects.
"Timepiece"
Any watch, clock, or horological instrument entrusted to Wela Naga for assessment or service.
"Agreement"
These Terms & Conditions, together with any service quotation or intake form accepted by both parties.
Section 02

Acceptance of Terms

By bringing a timepiece to Wela Naga, submitting an enquiry through our website, or otherwise engaging our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to enter into this Agreement.
  • If acting on behalf of an organisation or a third party, you confirm that you have the authority to enter into this Agreement on their behalf.
  • You confirm that the timepiece you are submitting is your own property or that you hold the owner's express permission to have it serviced.
Section 03

Service Description

Wela Naga provides specialist watch repair and restoration services at our Bangkok workshop. Our current service categories are:

  1. Mechanical Movement Servicing — full inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and calibration of mechanical and automatic movements, including a written condition report and water-resistance check. Starting from ฿4,300.
  2. Battery & Quartz Care Package — battery replacement, gasket inspection, case cleaning, and pressure test for quartz timepieces. Starting from ฿9,500.
  3. Heritage Restoration Project — considered, longer-form restoration for antique or cherished watches, covering movement rebuilding, dial and case work, and period-correct parts sourcing. Starting from ฿17,800.

Final pricing is confirmed only after a physical assessment of each timepiece. Quoted prices represent starting rates and may vary depending on the condition and complexity of the work required.

Section 04

Intake & Assessment Process

Prior to commencing any service work, Wela Naga follows an intake and assessment process designed to protect both the client and the timepiece.

  • All timepieces are received with a written intake record noting the apparent condition at the time of handover.
  • A service quotation will be issued following assessment. Work will proceed only upon your explicit approval of the quoted scope and cost.
  • If additional issues are identified during service, Wela Naga will contact you before proceeding with any work beyond the agreed scope.
  • You may decline any additional work; the timepiece will be returned in its then-current condition.
Section 05

User Responsibilities

When engaging Wela Naga's services, you agree to the following:

  • Provide accurate information about the timepiece, including its history and any known faults, to the best of your knowledge.
  • Collect the timepiece within 30 days of notification that service is complete. Storage fees may apply after this period.
  • Respond to communications from Wela Naga in a timely manner so that work can proceed without unnecessary delays.
  • Not engage in abusive, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate conduct toward our staff or premises.
  • Use our website solely for lawful purposes, without attempting to gain unauthorised access or disrupt services.
Section 06

Intellectual Property

All content on the Wela Naga website — including text, photographs, service documentation, logos, and design elements — is the property of Wela Naga or is used with permission. Nothing in this Agreement transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and view the website for personal, non-commercial purposes. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of any content without our written consent is not permitted.

Section 07

Payment Terms

  • All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • Payment is due in full upon collection of the timepiece, prior to its release.
  • We accept cash (Thai Baht), major credit and debit cards, and bank transfer. Specific accepted methods will be confirmed at intake.
  • For Heritage Restoration Projects, we may request a deposit of up to 30% of the estimated service cost before commencing work. This will be discussed and agreed with you before any deposit is requested.
  • Deposits are non-refundable once substantive restoration work has commenced, except in cases where Wela Naga is unable to complete the agreed service.
  • Wela Naga reserves the right to retain a timepiece as security until all outstanding fees are paid.
Section 08

Service-Specific Terms

Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are provided in good faith and are not binding commitments. Mechanical Movement Servicing typically takes two to three weeks. Battery & Quartz Care packages are generally completed within a few working days. Heritage Restoration Projects are paced to the individual piece; a realistic timeline will be discussed with you at assessment.

Parts & Materials

Where replacement parts are required, Wela Naga will use appropriate components suited to the timepiece. For heritage restorations, we make reasonable efforts to source period-correct or manufacturer-original parts, though availability cannot always be ensured. You will be informed if suitable parts cannot be sourced.

Service Period

Following completion of a service, Wela Naga offers a 90-day service period during which we will address any issues directly attributable to the service work, at no additional charge, provided the timepiece has been used normally and has not been subjected to damage, misuse, or unauthorised repair.

Uncollected Timepieces

Timepieces not collected within 90 days of notification of completion may, at Wela Naga's discretion and following reasonable attempts to contact you, be subject to storage fees or, in exceptional circumstances, disposal in accordance with Thai consumer protection law.

Section 09

Disclaimers

While Wela Naga takes considerable care with every timepiece entrusted to us, the following limitations apply:

  • Horological work involves inherent risk, particularly with aged, fragile, or previously modified pieces. Wela Naga will advise you of known risks before proceeding, but cannot account for all contingencies.
  • We do not represent that a serviced timepiece will perform within manufacturer specifications, particularly where components are aged or unavailable.
  • Website information is provided for general reference. It does not constitute technical advice specific to your timepiece.
  • Wela Naga is not responsible for pre-existing faults or damage not disclosed or apparent at intake.
Section 10

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Thai law:

  • Wela Naga's total liability in connection with any service shall not exceed the fee actually paid for that specific service.
  • Wela Naga shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including sentimental value, loss of use, or diminution in value beyond the scope of the service provided.
  • These limitations do not apply where loss or damage results from Wela Naga's gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
  • Events beyond reasonable control — including natural disasters, utility failures, civil unrest, or other force majeure circumstances — will excuse delay or non-performance without liability.
Section 11

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wela Naga, its staff, and representatives from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of this Agreement, misrepresentation of ownership, or unlawful conduct in connection with our services.

Section 12

Termination

Either party may withdraw from a service agreement before work has commenced, without penalty. Once work is underway:

  • You may request that work cease at any time; you will be invoiced for any work completed to that point, plus any parts already sourced.
  • Wela Naga may decline to continue a service if circumstances arise that make safe completion impracticable, in which case you will be informed promptly and charged only for work already performed.
  • Sections relating to payment, liability, and dispute resolution survive the termination of any service agreement.
Section 13

Dispute Resolution

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. In the event of a dispute:

  1. We encourage you to first contact us directly at [email protected] so that we may seek a resolution informally.
  2. If informal resolution is not achieved within 30 days, either party may escalate the matter to mediation through a mutually agreed body.
  3. Failing resolution through mediation, disputes shall be referred to the courts of Bangkok, Thailand, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act B.E. 2522 (1979) and related Thai legislation.

Section 14

General Provisions

Entire Agreement. This Agreement, together with any service quotation or intake documentation, constitutes the complete understanding between you and Wela Naga and supersedes any prior communications on the same subject.

Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

Waiver. Wela Naga's failure to enforce any provision on a given occasion does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce that provision in future.

Assignment. You may not assign your rights or obligations under this Agreement without Wela Naga's written consent. Wela Naga may assign or transfer its obligations in connection with a business transfer or restructuring.

Notices. Formal notices should be sent to [email protected] or to the physical address at 245 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand.

Section 15

Changes to These Terms

Wela Naga may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal obligations, or operational practices. When changes are made:

  • The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
  • For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify clients through our website or by direct communication.
  • Continued use of our services after the updated date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
