Last Updated: 12 May 2025 · Effective Date: 12 May 2025
This policy applies to Wela Naga (operator of the website at welanagat.live), located at 245 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110, Thailand. Questions about data handling may be directed to [email protected].
1. Introduction
Wela Naga is a watch repair atelier. We collect a limited amount of personal information when clients contact us, book services, or use our website. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your rights in relation to it.
We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not use data for advertising. Our data practices are shaped by the Thailand Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA) and, where applicable, general internationally recognised data protection principles.
2. Data We Collect
We collect personal data through the following means:
- Contact form submissions: name, email address, optional telephone number, and any message content you write.
- Service intake records: the above contact information, plus watch details (make, model, serial number where noted), photographs of the watch, and condition notes.
- Email correspondence: any communication you initiate or continue via email.
- Website usage data: standard server log data (IP address, browser type, page visited, timestamp) where analytics tools are active. See Section 5 (Cookies).
Legal basis for processing: contact and service data is processed under contract (to provide the repair service you request) and legitimate interest (to manage client communications and workshop records). Website usage data is processed under consent where cookies are used.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the service requested.
- To manage the watch intake, service record, and collection process.
- To contact you with updates on the progress of your watch's service.
- To maintain our internal records and service history logs.
- To comply with legal obligations (tax records, receipts).
We do not use your personal data to send unsolicited marketing communications. If you provide consent separately, we may contact you with service reminders or relevant updates — but this is opt-in only.
4. Data Retention
We retain client service records for seven years following the completion of a service, in line with standard business record-keeping requirements in Thailand. Contact enquiries that do not result in a service are retained for twelve months and then deleted. Website log data is retained for no more than ninety days.
After the relevant retention period, personal data is deleted from our systems or anonymised so it can no longer be attributed to you.
5. Cookies
Our website may use cookies for essential functionality (session management), analytics (understanding how visitors use the site), and preference storage. You can manage your cookie preferences via the banner shown on your first visit to the site, or at any time through our Cookie Policy page.
Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the website to function. All other cookie categories are optional and subject to your consent.
6. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services including Google Analytics (website usage analysis) and Google Maps (location display on our website). These services may process data under their own privacy policies. We do not share personal client data (names, emails, service records) with any third party except as required by law.
Our website contains links to external pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those pages.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. Client intake records are stored in a password-protected system accessible only to Wela Naga staff. Physical watch photographs and condition notes are stored securely. In the event of a data breach that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the relevant Thai authority in accordance with PDPA requirements.
8. Your Rights
Under the Thailand PDPA and applicable principles, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure: request deletion of your data where retention is no longer necessary.
- Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
- Right to lodge a complaint: with the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) of Thailand.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within thirty days.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for persons aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our site, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
10. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Last Updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify existing clients.
